
Harvey started his professional career as a stand-up comedian. The 1980s were when Harvey stood-up comics and also hosted Showtime at the Apollo as well as The Steve Harvey Show (The WWB). The show was then re-released as The Original Kings of Comedy after his role in the Kings of Comedy Tour. In 2012 He hosted his final stand-up show. Harvey hosts each of Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud, holding this role since the year 2010. Harvey also hosted for Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young and Steve Harvey's Funderdome. Four of his books include the top-selling Act Like a Lady and Think Like a Man. Harvey started Steve Harvey Global, an entertainment business that runs the company he runs for production East 112 and a host of other ventures. He launched an African adaptation of Family Feud and also invested in the HDNet merger together with Anthem Sports and Entertainment. Marjorie Harvey and Steve Harvey are the founders of the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit organization that is focused on youth education. Harvey has been awarded seven Daytime Emmy Awards, two Marconi Award winners, and fourteen NAACP Image Award Winners in diverse categories.
